“On April 9, the ceremony of entering China Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022 will be held in the earliest existing basketball hall in China (the former site of Donglu club, Nankai District, Tianjin Youth Conference).
Tianjin is the hometown of Chinese basketball. In 1895, basketball was introduced into China from Tianjin, which started the development process of basketball in China. In 1914, the East Road club of Nankai district of Tianjin Youth Conference was built with indoor basketball hall. For more than 100 years, the youth conference hall has experienced years of baptism and is the earliest existing basketball hall in China.
Chinese Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is a historical monument and honorary history of Chinese basketball. It is a hall for individuals and collectives who have made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese basketball.
In 2022, the Chinese Basketball Association organized a recommendation activity for Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in China, which lasted for nearly half a year. After being jointly recommended by the Chinese basketball family, 24 inbound figures and one inbound group were finally produced.
The Hall of Fame ceremony is an important moment to engrave, salute and inherit all the people entering the hall. The ceremony of entering the hall in Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, China will be held on the afternoon of April 9. The ceremony is divided into three main stages: 15 “special tribute characters” entering the hall, 9 recommended characters entering the hall and excellent collectives-“outstanding contribution award of new China basketball (five and ten heroes) ‘The winner enters the hall.
Many legendary predecessors have emerged in the history of Chinese basketball for a hundred years, and the spirit of Chinese basketball has been passed down from generation to generation. This entrance ceremony will run through the whole process of the concept of “legend self-inheritance” through the presentation of tokens and speeches of people entering the hall.
