During the off-season in 2017, the Pacers sent George to thunder and returned to Oladipo and Sabonis Jr. When talking about the past when he applied for a deal with walkers, George said, “my team tried to avoid letting me go to a place I didn’t want to go. Obviously, I want to go home. The Lakers were my first choice.”
