Kidd was born in San Francisco, California, USA on March 24, 1973. He was selected as a lone ranger in the 1994 NBA draft. He played for the four teams of Lone Ranger, Sun, basketable Nets and New York Knicks successively in his NBA career. Kidd won NBA Rookie of the Year award in 1995, won the NBA all-star skill challenge in 2003, and helped Lone Ranger win the NBA championship in 2011. On June 4, 2013, Kidd announced his retirement. Kidd’s career played 1391 games, with an average of 12.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 8.7 assists, 1.9 steals.

In the 19-year NBA career, Kidd’s NBA assists total history is the second, the total number of steals history is the second, the total number of three double pairs history is the fourth, and he was selected into the best team of NBA six times (one of the five sessions, one second battle), nine times selected in NBA best defensive team (5th one, 4th second battle), ten times selected in NBA All-Star team, five times won NBA champion.
