Stotz said: “The previous MVP should not affect this year’s jokedge. I don’t think it should affect voters, but in fact it does. You know, there are Bo Di and Russell (the previous three-in-one MVP). They don’t want to put yokiki into one category with these people, so I think this will really affect people’s voting.”
The three previous MVPs were Bill Russell (1960-63), Chamberlain (1965-68) and Bird (1983-86).
